The Guardian Observer uncovered these abusive practices against the Jarawa eight months ago, publishing their story on the risks of disease, mistreatment, assault and exploitation as a result of these tourist convoys with some accompanying video footage of a police officer on one such convoy pushing a group of Jarawa women and girls to dance for the amusement of the onlooking tourists (warning, watching that video causes you to lose your last shreds of faith in people). These tours continue today, as the Guardian reports, despite the scandal caused in India by the original investigation.
